2018/01/22 – Board Meeting Minutes

President Doug Friend called the January 22^nd, 2018 meeting of the NCA Board of Directors to order at 12:20 pm.  Other members present were Nancy Allan, Susan Johnson and Nicole Belinne.

The board discussed the following:

• CHILI COOKOFF — The 40^th Anniversary event will be held from February 23^rd to the 25^th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.  NCA will be in charge of all alcohol sales.  Sponsors and students will be recruited to assist.
• ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING — The AGM will be held on April 9, 2:00 pm at the NCA Chapala office.
• FND RAISER — Paint the Lake Green, will be St. Patrick’s Day, March 17^th at the home of Doug Friend and Nancy Allan.  It will feature BBQ catered by Texas Ranger Juan Mata and very green margaritas.  Tickets will be $350 Pesos.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:20 pm.

Note: The venue for the fundraiser has been moved from Doug and Nancy’s residence to the house of Doug Huffines, Privada Ocampo #1 in central Ajijic.

The venue is located in central Ajijic on Privada Ocampo #1.  Privada Ocampo runs between Ocampo and Independencia, between 5 de Febrero and Pedro Moreno.  As usual, a detailed may with directions will be on the back side of the events tickets.
